What cot bedding accessories I might need for my infant?
There’s so many to choose from and it is quite over whelming. Cot quits, cot sheet, cot blanket, crib bumpers, flat pillows, and normal pillows. etc. I don’t know how to use many of them. My friend use cot quit as a mattress cover, is that how it’s used?
And how do you cover the infant in cot when in ‘feet to foot position.’ I have seen photos in web a nice folded blanket over the chest of the baby, and the ends neatly tucked under the matress, so are we supposed to fold the cot blanket and use it that way?
I went shopping yesterday, but all these come in a package you cannot unfold and examine them, so I was wondering if you guys can help me with this, Been a first time parent is not easy.….
Also what can you put over the mattress to stop it from getting wet?

Only use a fitted sheet (with a waterproof mattress pad under it) and either a breathable baby bumper or no bumper. Anything else is a suffocation hazard. Use a sleep sack instead of a blanket. http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/5030.html

For the first few weeks, you can swaddle the baby tightly in a thin receiving blanket, but once the baby starts to move more don't use a blanket because the baby can kick it off.
