What is the correct way to make a baby's crib? We are confused with all the sheet savers, mattress pads etc!
I have had 3 children. In my experience, a waterproof mattress pad is good. That way, if baby gets sick or is leaky, you don't have to worry about sanitizing the mattress. You can just change the mattress pad (get 2) and sheet. Sheet savers are okay but mine tended to not stay in place (or baby didn't). You really don't need a comforter, they are bulky, and in my opinion, unsafe in a crib. I had 2 babies who would scoot over to sides of the crib while sleeping, and I would find their face up against the bumper pad. So I removed them in order to avoid suffocation. It was never a problem with bumped heads or whatever. A light blanket for covering baby is okay but really not necessary, they tend to kick them off anyway. Good luck!
