My 15 year old daughter has turned vegetarian. What supplements should she be eating to replace meat?

Can anyone help please? My 15 year old daughter is feeling weak sometimes, she has been vegetarian for about 6 months. What food or supplements should she be eating to replace meat? She is having Quorn products, but will she still be lacking in anything?

If your daughter eats a well-balanced diet, she won't need supplements.

She should be eating a lot of fresh fruit, vegetables, beans and legumes. Have her cut back on the fake meat. It is okay every now and then, but she should not have it more than 2-3x per week. I know it's convenient and tasty, but it's still a heavily processed food.

If she has her cycle, make sure she is eating iron-rich foods immediately before, during and immediately after her period. With menstruation, it is easy to feel very weak (slight symptoms of anemia) due to the loss of blood.

As long as she varies her diet, she should be good!
